To me, the numbers just don't add up that AMD is taking market share from Intel.

I would say it's a shift of market share.

In the past, it looked something like Intel had 100% of the high end and 60% of the low end.

Now it's more like Intel has 80% of the high end and 80% of the low end.

This could easily explain why Intel's REVENUES would come up short, but Dell, Compaq, etc are all saying they are selling computers as guided.

The big day is Oct 11th where we all get to find out what's really going on.
