I fail to see where Ish suggested kids should bring guns to school. Could you point out where he did? If you are unable to read a post correctly, I will not expect a coherent reply.

There are already laws against bringing weapons to school, so perhaps a solution would be to pass a new law requiring the students to obey the law? I believe the point Ish wanted to make was that we were brought up in a time where we had easy access to guns, were taught how to handle them safely (by NRA sponsored safety courses,BTW), but there were no school shootings.

<<Good Idea Ish. Give kids all the guns they want and give them experience and NRA training!! This is ridiculous.
I will bet on my life on one thing. A bunch of kids (no matter how much you train them in safety) with gun who go to same school will use guns against each other at some point of time.>>

When I was in high school, during hunting season many guns were brought to school. Each home room had a corner with many guns and hunting coats full of bullets. We had the training to be very respectful of guns and any infraction caused a loss of your gun and hunting rights. There were fights and knifings but never a shooting. Guns were common but shootings weren't. Now guns are banned but kids shoot kids. Something's changed.
