Mostly, Cisco and Microsoft and IBM and Compaq, but we are speaking politically:

Ronald Reagan, for putting us on the right track; Newt Gingrich, for electing a Republican Congress; Greenspan, for imposing monetary discipline; Rubin, for encouraging fiscal discipline; and only then, to some extent, Clinton for appointing them...........

<<President Clinton attributes the decline in poverty to a course of fiscal discipline>>

Clinton raised taxes and wanted to spend, spend, spend.....but guess what happened in 1994?

BTW, I sincerely hope that if Gore is elected that the Repubs vacate their seats in the house and senate so the Dems can have their way for the next four years.....by then, you and all your liberal friends will have been kicked in the nuts several times over by your aforementioned idol....And even then you might be too ignorant to know what is happening.<g>

davidkarasick--Regarding who should take credit for the US poverty rate being the lowest in 20 years, well, unless the Republicans have a mole amongst poor folks, I'd say the Democrats.
