Something I found interesting from the news report is that Average Selling Price of Palm was $262 Q4 and $240 Q1. Given Palm sold 1.5 million devices in Q4, i.e. they got

1.5 million x $240 = $360 million

Total revenue for Q4 was 401 million, 401 - 360 = 41 millions

That means they got 10% of revenue ($41 millions) from licenses and subscriptions.

With this month Sony starting to sell their Clie, they should be able to increase this 41 millions significantly. Palm should be able to get 5 to 10 million from Sony in Q2 (just a wild guess).

Palm as of now is still 90% hardwares and only 10% OS related softwares.

Another piece of interesting statistic is that ASP dropped by 8.4% from $262 to $240.
At the same time, unit sales increased by 36.4% from 1.1 million units to 1.5 mill units.
Since these two numbers are inter-related, I havn't been able to figure out a correlation yet.
