And who could forget Cliff Richards ???? Nice and mushy Cliff !!! Even a diehard romantic like me finds it hard to believe that the three (Theme for a Dream, Fallen in Love and Evergreen Tree) in particular were my favorites in late 70s and early 80s...(once upon a time)...! Thankfully, my tastes have changed since....but was it just me or was it the age of the mushy ??? Happy_Girl, when I take that trip down memory lane...this song strikes me, not for the memory it holds for me relating to the song itself but for what the words say about how we look at the events in our life. We can take those things that turn out differently than we want and expected, face the pain, yet be thankful for the part of the memory that once brought us joy...(I know that is much easier said than done, but it is worth the effort, to attempt to live out this view point...)
