Downsouth,

As a long time lurker of the GG thread, I find everyone's defense of Lindy's buys and sells ludicrious. To be honest, I half agree with the previous posters opinion. Lindy may have proved genius with his strong move into Q a while back, but as of late, he has shown a knack for buying high and selling low.

Of course, all of this is irrelevant for the purposes of this thread.

FYI: I must say that I owe about 99% of my investing success over the last two years to this thread. Absolutely invaluable. However, I sometimes feel that the counrty club atmosphere here is a bit much.

Keep up the great work everyone, but keep the back door open once in a while for a few stragglers looking to sneak in a few holes on the back nine.

KY

Ask Lindy if his portfolio is up/down so far this year.
I don't think his performance is at the same level as yours.
He might become famous for selling QCOM stock at the peak but that does not tell me that he is good at investing.
Ask him if he is making money by making a big bet in JDSU/SDLI positions. If one could consistently make money year over year even in the bear market, I would say "yes" he is the one to listen. A lot of people make their big fortune during the past seven or eight years in the bull market. When we are in the bear market, I hope we know how to keep what we have made so far.

It's "ignore" time, guys. Otherwise, we have another "Jach" in the making.
