President Clinton announces another record budget surplus

Yeah.. but how much will be left after he spends it all in current budget...

Republicans want 90% of it to go to paying down the debt and Clinton has said "no"...

Call it political grand standing by the Republicans if you want, but it certainly falls in line with what Alan Greenspan desires, namely that the debt be paid down, and failing to forgo spending the surplus, he recommends tax cuts.

AG does NOT want more govt spending on entitlement programs..

Btw David... can you tell us how much money the US taxpayers paid out of their pockets to fight the "war on poverty" (welfare..)....

Let me give you a hint.... it's more than $5.9 Trillion and less than $6.1 Trillion...

All that money down the drain because common sense workfare programs were not implemented, draining funds from NEEDED welfare programs that SHOULD EXIST for ONLY the most needy and disabled people in our economy..

Regards,

Ron

"An 18-month study by the House Commerce Committee found that for dozens of drugs, most of which are used
to treat AIDS and cancer, drug companies report one wholesale price publicly, then charge doctors a much
lower price to encourage them to use the drug. The federal government reimburses at a rate similar to the
publicly announced price, so doctors can make large profits - a practice the report acknowledged is legal. "..................NOTHING WORSE THAN GREEDY DRUG COMPANIES AND GREEDY DOCTORS..........Personally , I'd send them all to jail and let them do time..........Fines are not enough. Gouging Medicare only results in bad policy and bad medicine.
