Prosperous Investing.

One of the more amusing things about reading investment boards is how personally some people take the moves of others, especially when it comes to selling. If someone posts that they are selling a stock it often prompts another person to take exception. Seemingly the thinking is: hey, I own that stock, if this person is selling it, either he or I must be wrong, therefore I must point out the error of his ways, I must try to help this poor soul see the light and bring him back to the fold. (Or at the very least, I should call him names.)

The bazaar part of this reaction is that we are talking about the Stock Market. If QCOM or JDSU or any other company trades 10 million shares today, that means half the shares are being sold. If we did not have buyers and sellers, we would not have a market. And one persons buys or sells isn't likely to make any difference whatsoever to the market.

And speaking of odd behavior, note this from the Gorilla Game List Server:

"The GG list service will be suspended for this week to let the list cool
down. The tone of GG last week is not consistent with either my, or
Geoff Moore's values. We will start the list again next Monday, but if the
same type of dialog reemerges, we will shut down for good. All posts from
Friday afternoon on (except logoffs) have been erased."
