Though I don't fully understand your post the gist seems to be LAS-CDMA (If it even works, which has yet to be demonstrated) is not significantly better than CDMA2000. Geez more FUD.

In LAS proposal, it is using 64 QAM to achieve the high data rate. This is
another thing that is far away from reality. By increasing the complexity of
the modulation scheme, you need more computing power and speed


Also, increasing the number of states reduces the distance between them, which in turn means that the signal to noise ratio must be higher to achieve the same error rate.
