Equipment is not where it is at, imho. The dominant service providers will provide the most stable investment for the future.

The problem is that this could move up $5-$10 within a couple of days or weeks without any trouble. Especially given the amount of turnover in the shares. There are probably more long term shareholders in WCOM now than before the fall (most of which are probably institutions).

Hi SW:

The XTC is up by 4% today. The fix is in. All the
big boys have gorged themselves on cheap telecom
service co. shares. Last weak they signalled
(Merrill, SSB...) to each other they were set to run
the stocks up. Now the train is leaving the station.
At the same time they were all signalling frenetically
that it was time to run the telecom equipt stocks
down. And bamm, they beat the stuffing out of
CSCO, NT, LU...

Regards,

Bernard Levy
