AAPL, INTC, DELL - examples of the transition from the Microcosm to the Telecosm. Gilder is right on the money.

We don't need high-end PC's nearly as much as data. How much time do people 'wait' for their processors as opposed to the 'wait' for their data.

Not to mention the overhead of Windows booting up, etc.
