Could we be seeing the start of a recession? All this "slow down" talk (no longer a talk after Intel, Apple and VIA) has me thinking that the FED went too far with their last rate hike and we may be heading towards a hard landing (recession?). Your article on VIA shipments fits in that category. What do others think?

I think the only way the FED can reverse the damage is with a 1/4 point rate decrease on Tuesday. I think they went too far and consumer demand is starting to slow down as households are watching their wallets more (especially in Europe but is also starting here as well). Comments?

Kash,

Inventory cutbacks torpedo VIA's sales forecasts

Let's look at the bright side: chipsets will no longer be a bottleneck in Q4.
