I don't know if the economy has shown that clear a signal that it's slowing. And the FED hates to do anything this close to an election for fear that it will be accused of trying to influence the outcome.

But a US interest rate cut would sure help the Euro - and the FED recently cooperated in a move to halt the fall of the Euro, so maybe they will ease rates by an eighth - or at least indicate a willingness to so soon.

Personally, I don't expect a rate cut.
