but perhaps indicative of more widespread problems in the PC biz.

You may be right...I am certainly not the most qualified person to debate this issue with you.

If people have decided they don't need to upgrade their PCs anymore then that will affect a whole group of companies...

What if this is more "Mac" specific...a problem with Mac users wanting to move on to PCs? (I'm sure you've heard all of the Mac jokes such as "a Mac is a PC with training wheels"...or "MAC means Most Absurd Computer"). I know that there are many functions such as graphic design work, visual design, desktop publishing and multimedia work that many feel can only be accomplished on an Apple Computer.

From an article today, where complaints are being made about the new Cube computer..... "Apple consumers are famously style-minded and will often make a purchase decision based on a computer's color rather than its storage
capacity." dailynews.yahoo.com Maybe there was a "style" issue with the new computer?

On the other hand, "the issue" could be "Macs" vs. PCs vs. the economy vs. the future of a growth of PC/Mac sales...and the growth and move to various handheld devices and the "wireless Internet".

at a time when the market is already nervous. I rather think it will be "an issue", at least tomorrow.

Yes...the market is nervous. Overall, IMO I still think this market showed very positive direction today...and that should continue despite the Apple warning. (at least for tomorrow!<g>)
