The relativist and the absolutist can both choose any--ANY--mechanism they wish to arrive at their relative and absolue truths, respectively. If they are both fond of the philosophy of logis, they will likely arrive at similar beliefs and complementary moralities. I agree that some relativists tend to internalize what I consider are a better canon of beliefs than some absolutists. This is another issue than the intrinsic superiority of one over the other.
