hi scumb:

<<I didn't see your post, because you addressed it to Carl.>>

If you didn't see it then how come you are answering it? I have always presumed that you and 'Carl' communicate off line on a frequent basis; I guess this just confirms my assumptions.

Nonetheless, congratulations for injecting just a tiny bit of information about yourselves. The transparency (dim as it may be) gives us a chance to try and figure out ways to possibly give you two the benefit of the doubt (huge as it may need to be).

<<Fundamentally I am an educator (I worked for several years as a teacher) and I like to share my knowledge with others. I saw misinformation being spread a few years ago about DRDRAM, and I saw Intel take the bait. It bothered me and I started posting about it.>>

Alas, after all, you are posting 50 - 100 times a week in an aggregate act of selflessness, for our collective benefit <VBG>. Don Quijote de la Mancha comes to mind, or is it Joan of Arc? History marks these characters as severely delusional, of course <ggg>. Of course, words of TRUTH, irregardless of their appropriateness, were the norm with these historical figures. Can't say that you guys follow that pattern, IMHO.

If indeed your motives are as you say <VVBG>, then let me give you some advice my friend: stop posting and start investing. It's much more profitable. And pleasant.

Have a good weekend!

BP

PS: name calling? who is name calling? We all abbreviate in the world of IT. Suggest you change your moniker (maybe to your REAL name) if you have a problem with it. I do promise to try and fix the 'b' on my keyboard which occasionally sticks and fails. <ggg>
