Honestly, I never heard anyone say anything like this at the firm. What I heard was aspiration to be the largest application software company in the world. Since Oracle is a "service company" (Tom's words), our target was always SAP in terms of size. I always thought it was a bit of a stretch, but a nice goal to keep in mind. Now, looks doable.

Funny, SAP will do something around 5B this year, and assuming 20% top line growth, about 6B next year. But Tom was recently quoted as saying SEBL would pass SAP in the next 4 quarters. Even assuming that was on a run-rate basis, that's a big Q4 next year...

Can any other Siebel-types out there confirm or refute this info?
