MeThimks there is more at play. They didn't provide numbers in the warning only a EPS lowering.

What's your speculation? Any theories of what might be at play?

I'm trying to decide whether to finally give up (after holding aapl for the past 8 years or so, though I sold 75% of my holding earlier in the year) and put the money somewhere that the market likes. My concern is that it took so long for AAPL to turn the street sentiment in their favor...hope they haven't blown it.

Yes, the thought had crossed my mind.

When are the actual quarter earnings to be released?
What would happend if AAPL actually exceeded?
Is there any other advantage to rocking the boat like this?
