Oddly enough, the 20-week cycle low from the May 26 low is on October 13th Friday a week before options expiry. This market is pretty reminiscent of September 1987. A gradual deterioration followed by an acceleration. Actual volatility spiked to 13 yesterday finally breaking the downtrend. I was optimistic at close yesterday till I saw all those stocks trade from the low end of their ranges to their high end in just one day as indicated by the highs and lows. Only a chart chaser would enjoy sticking his neck out in that situation.
