RE:I am fully margined in AMD

I just got back from a trip to China, didn't look at any stock news but was encouraged to see ads for AMD Athlon on busses and billboards. When I got home and saw AMD at $24 I thought "I should buy more!", but no cash left. Maybe I can sell something else to buy AMD, oh boy they are all horribly depressed. How about margin, oh right did that before I went on vacation. What is this in the mail - MARGIN CALL(s), they sold some of my AMD while I was on vacation and want me to sell more on Monday!

Can we just skip the 1st 10 days of Oct this year?

Pravin,

I think someone here (kash?) mentioned that you can sell covered calls, and proceeds from those reduce your margin exposure. It's an alternative to getting your stock sold at the lows.
