--October will be a good month. Last year October was a very good month to be long the market.--

yes they will create lots of new money out of thin air to prop it up.

and if it crashes too bad the fed will intervene on behalf of the whining shareholders.

"October will make September look like a bull market."

1. "Not necessarily" - Lets do the numbers for just 5 yrs
1999 Sept Close = 2746.16 Oct 18 Low 2632.01
1998 Sept Close = 1693.84 Oct 8 Low 1343.87
1997 Sept Close = 1685.69 Oct 28 Low 1465.84
1996 Sept Close = 1226.92 Oct 29 Low 1202.36
1995 Sept Close = 1043.54 Oct 10 Low 959.36
That comes to 792.71 down points last 5 yrs.

2. Crashes in Oct - Yes I've been in many, 1987 was particularly nasty.
Over time I have learned to respect the September & October time frame
as being a danger to my bankroll and since I play the market with real
money I sell any Position Trades I have at the end of August & buy back
in during the October Low of Month. JH

To All: The market doesn't run on a calendar. If it did we would all be rich by just buying/selling indexes and turning the calendar pages. This is madness. JFD
