NightOwl, I mean, can it be that I am the only one here who appreciates irony in their soap opera saga?! I'm not sure I understand your response. Are you trying to equate the movement of civilization with the movement of technology. If so, I don't believe I ever tried to claim that my statements applied to technology. In fact, quite the opposite. For example, the tremendous growth in the average human lifespan this century is due primarily to the rapid advances in technology in this century, and that's a good thing. Very different than political systems, IMO. My apologies if I'm misunderstanding your statements. I see no irony at all. Dave
