<<DDR was in active use decades before Rambus existed.>>

Boy do the MU lawyers want to talk to you.
Even MU has conceeded that RMBS has the IP, but are attempting to invalidate that IP on trade issues and JEDEC disclosure.

Hell they are having a hard time getting DDR out on a PC MOBO although they have been bargging about it since 1996.

Now you come along and say decades ago.
I suppose you have a link to back this up and just happened to forget to post it.

Show us the link that anyone has a patent on DDR before RMBS. Show me a link of prior art. Hell all the lawyers from Hitachi could not find one, but you can.

Give us a break.
BTW - First trial is in Germany. Pre-Art does not matter.
First to patent does.

Like it or not RMBS position is strong.

SHOW US SOME PRIOR ART LINKS - preferably from DECADES AGO!

Dan,

3 years from now, not only will RDRAM be dead, but Rambus inc. as well. And it may be much, much, sooner.

Given Rambus' strategy of suing all their customers, this seems like a very plausible scenario.

Dan3,
You sound upset and scared. I think you know that when Micron, Hyundai and Infineon all lose, they'll pay in damages billions of dollars. Billions baby. They (and you indirectly) will be paying for Rambus for the next 100 years. LMAO.

Dan3,

DDR was in active use decades before Rambus existed.

Kindly give me an example of the use of DDR in memory interfaces from decades ago.

While you are about it, could you give me some early examples of prior use of output data registers with their timing controlled by a programmable register forming part of the memory chip?

John
