The bottom line is that Greenspan overplayed his hand and raised interest rates once too much and now 3 months later the proof is in the pudding. The entire retail sector, not only PC's,is suffering....just go to the malls..half-empty.I think Intel's problem lies in the transition from PC's to the wireless/analog sector...I think NSM and TXN are better plays now.

From Intel Press Relations

Despite various reports in the media, Intel reports it is still committed to launch the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor in the fourth quarter of 2000. This is consistent with Intel's public plan of record for this product. The company continues to work with customers to prepare the new processor and platforms for launch. The Intel Pentium 4 processor is healthy and continues to meet Intel quality standards.
