short requires you to "root" for the demise of a given stock and hurting a lot of people in the process. This is total bull. You only hurt the short termers that you out-foxed. Shorters are actually doing long term investers a favor by allowing them to accumulate shares at lower prices. They also provide a bottom and rally when the market collapses. They HAVE TO BUY THE SHARES BACK so the net shares traded is zero. It's ok to short in America, Zeev. IT IS NOT UN-AMERICAN. Making money is about as American as one can get.
