January this year: "With 1.5 million installations between them, DSL technologies and cable modems serve only 1% of homes and businesses in North America." If you are impressed with this 1%, I am not because this is in the US, the most dynamic, open and developed telecommunications market in the world. Now picture the % in those European telcos and the rest of the world.

Pronto is NOT wasting of 6 billion. SBC already got the its long distance approval. So all this hoopla about those 6 billion dollar has paid back.

Now lets see if all those 77 million Americans get their fast access.
