What qualifies Bush to be president?....we all know the Governor of Texas plays second fiddle to the Lt.Governor.Bush's Energy poilcy consists of opening the Alaskan frontier(we all know who would benefit from that). The Washington Beltway politics would make mincemeat of him...at least Gore knows where the lamdmines are in Washington. My Texas friends told me as much as five years ago that the big money was pouring into the Bush Camp...I honestly feel that George W. doesn't even have a deepdown desire to be the president.

'Tis sad commentary on the intellectual sophistication of the American People -- but an easy market for a used-car and snake-oil salesmen - thus explaining the "booming economy."

Are we in cultural-masochism mode, kind of a National Thanitos in the Freudian sense, or just experiencing the old adage, "He who robs Peter to pay Paul is assured of Paul's vote"? :)
