ANONYMITY HELPS CRIMINALS RIP PEOPLE OFF.

I hope you realize that there is a 1st amendment right to be anonymous. Just think of all the movements (Civil Rights, Womens Rights, The founding of this country ) that wouldn't have progressed if an opinion had to have a name attached.

But if you break the law, you lose the right to be anonymous. I feel like my 1st amendment rights were violated when Hitsgalore.com sued me and found out my name.

Note: This anon right is implied by the courts in the separation of church and state ruling if I remember correctly.

Dale, the central issue there is not anonymity, but the fantastic credulity of idiots who would place on an otc-bb/pinks issue a market buy order on the uncorroborated word of posters on chat groups, regardless of whether those posters post under their 'real name' or not ... personally i got my lessons in this on the old VSE a long time ago, i listened to an actual face right in front of my face and i even knew where he lived and his wife's name too ... it didn't help much when the story soured ... on the other hand, i've learned a lot from a guy named Tastes Like Chicken ... go figure.

I would never have been present on the internet if i had had to broadcast to every psycho nutcase tout on the planet my identity and thereby the location of my family ... the strongest original reasons for caution are now lessened due to a new government in the country and in our estado, but that caution is bred in the bone, in very few cultures will you find a level of foolhardiness that would expose one's family to such unnecessary physical risk ... it is for very good reason that one of the most serious breaches of the TOU here is the posting of information that would facilitate locating a poster ... it's all very well for you over there in Lower Slobovia to post under your 'real name', feel free if you choose to do so ... my 'real name' on the internet is 'marcos', take it or leave it, and by all means judge each comment on its own merits ... duh.

Plus, there's a rumour you were actually christened Brunnhilde Shmyetlana ... but it makes no difference to me, if you say something that makes me think, and maybe i learn something, which you do from time to time, i figure that's brilliant, and good on ya .... cheers
