I can agree with you to a point on the following comment...As a woman who knows many people in the medical field I can honestly say that that story was meant for sensationalism. I can agree with you on the comment of the story being intended for sensationalism. Let me ask you this though...do you feel even if the story was intended for sensationalism, that eliminates the potential for truth in the story? But now let me point out a few things you said that I take issue with. You said.....Most OB/GYN physicians won't even touch a purposely induced abortion. Here again, the word "most" is not all inclusive. Therefore it is possible for a woman in any trimester of pregnancy to find a physician willing to abort the child she is carrying. In most states it's illegal to induce an abortion after 24 weeks and the vast majority of MD's wouldn't touch it after 12 if at all. I am not sure what the break down is on state by state laws governing the # of weeks gestation...and the legality of an abortion. But you can't possibly believe that the "vast majority" of MD's wouldn't touch it after 12 weeks"..... 12 weeks????? You act like women are lining up in drones to get these alleged procedures when in fact they agonize over the whole situation. Can I ask how much experience you personally have with post-abortive women??? I believe more women agonize over this decision after the fact...not prior to. Most women prior to an abortion have been blinded to the realities of the fetus being a child. By propaganda that refers to the child forming inside them, as a "blob of tissue or cells," call it anything but a child. It is highly difficult for ANY women to have an abortion. The woman has spent many hours agonizing over her condition by the time she gets to the actual procedure. Again Patricia, I have to disagree with you. There are plenty of women...that do not agonize over choosing an abortion. Many women (prior to an abortion) see it as the simple solution to the inconvenience of a pregnancy or parenting. Then one of two things happen after the procedure...women either end up with post abortion distress syndrome or think it was a great solution to their pregnancy, in which case, it is common to see repeat procedures performed in the future... What you describe is an actual labor and delivery which sounds like a saline injection. It's not new by any means and it's not fun by any means. It also is a late stage abortion because poor lung development is very often the cause of death in premature infants. Women need to be aware when they choose a saline abortion...that labor and delivery of that infant will have to occur. They also need to know that a live birth of horridly burned infant is also possible. The burned aborted fetus of a saline abortion is a horrible sight. I wonder what justification is given for not taking all possible measures to save these infants.....if the cause of death is due to the lack of development of the lungs. The reality is that they don't justify it, they let the child die..as it was intended to be dead at "birth." Currently there is research on the FDA fast track for approval on a much less expensive treatment for these infants with poorly developed lungs, than is currently available. Once this new medication is approved by the FDA...the abortionist will be hard pressed to used poorly developed lungs as their justification in the death of these infantsThe circumstances surrounding abortion are highly individualized and personal I agree with this statement...but a woman needs to know the realities of the abortion procedure and it's long term effects, prior to making the decision to abort.
