Elmer,

However with Intel's production of processors about 10x AMD

AMD is making 7.2 million Athlon's this quarter. Can Intel make 72 million PIII's?

Can you define "serious problem" for me?

This question really is the point of contention. Perhaps Scumbria should replace the phrase with "competitive disadvantage." Without AMD, Intel has no problem.

Do you go to your semiconductor manufacturer for economic analysis?

Another interesting question. Obviously CSFB regergitated what Intel had told them.

RE:"However with Intel's production of processors about 10x AMD ability to produce Athlons, even a 10% binsplit would mean Intel's 1GHz production is equal to AMD's entire Athlon output."

I guess what Intel loses on margin they can make up with volume, hey? <G>
Oh the pain, only about one more dollar to Merrill Flynch...
