<<However, out of boredom I too took a course and was certified to drive 6 bys. But, that was long ago.>>

Mine was long ago too, much water has flowed under the bridge. I was at Ft Sam Houston and signed up. We went to Camp Bullus outside San Antonio. We got morning classes and the afternoon we were assigned a Jeep, Five Quarter or a Deuce and a half. Then the fun started. We did hill climbs, water fordings and just running them through the hill country of Texas.

Did you have a gasser 6 by or the multifuel? You will be dating yourself as the change came in '70. I drove both.

<<I really love riding distance in my Grand Cherokee and yours is even nicer than mine. >>

I'd bet on that. The one I got has all the goodies. The closest I can come to describing it is driving my Lay-z-e boy in the living room. I had to drive over to check on my farm today, a great time for break-in, back roads so I could vary the speed. The biggest problem was not nodding off.

<<In two weeks will be driving over 1,000 miles one way to my first jamboree in it. I am getting excited!!>>

Where is it? I may do one of those IF I don't get my Jeep scratched.
