I was never "advancing the cause of AMD" but rather giving my opinion. If we are to take last 5 years for analysis then it is clear that intel outperformed amd on all fronts. But look a bit deeper amd had a lousy performance in the 1st half of the period and steady improvement in the second while intel had great performance in the 1st and slow transition into never never land of capital gains to the rescue.
I would like to know why many on the thread feel that pe of intel should be growing year to year while the growth rate is collapsing. And you can observe that pe is indeed growing while performance is going down - a great illustration of the greater fool theory.
