do you have data on the actual length of bear markets since 1950?

Careful. I think you have to ask yourself what causes a bear correction to end. Formerly, inventory played a big role. With current inventory control measures, this is less true today. So is psychology more important now than formerly? Just thinking out loud.

As an old pro in the biz since the '60s I can assure you that

a return to sanity in valuations

has never occurred.

And that

a normal market trend based on fundamentals, earnings and growth

never occurs or always occurs, but whichever, you never believe it when it is occurring.
