The conversations we are hearing today on this board usually presage a bottom. Abby J. Cohen/Goldman is pushing tech today. Watch Greenspan later. Prime directive is to keep economy out of recession. The fight against enemy#2(inflation) was overdone given oil and euro issues. Am expecting a subtle Greenspan hint of things to come. Am expecting a market rally today, not our usual 100 point decline. This market decline could help cause a recession and could end it if we bounce from here. Dow showing some strength and thats good today.

I find it hard to believe that AMAT will drop to PE of
15 (at current equipment order rates). The market is pretty scared and I hope fund managers find value soon.
Maybe today is the bottom as we go into earnings.
