Dave,

You are trying to prove me wrong, and misrepresenting my statements.

Scumbria opinion: It will use two DDR channels

I said they will probably use two channels. It would be dumb to put a single channel on the P4 bus.

Scumbria opinion: It will use DDR-II

I never said anything about DDR-II. Where did that come from?

Intel is not suicidal. They will put DDR on P4 wherever it is appropriate. If you want to go on believing Intel's misinformation about their intentions, that is your perogative.

Dave,

I'm trying to separate fact from opinion in your posts and you don't make it easy. When you make a statement like "Intel is building DDR chipsets for P4 which will probably also use two connections, giving a total bandwidth of 4.2GB/s"

I read your post again, and I don't get it.

Intel is building DDR chipsets for P4. The word "probably" clearly indicates some uncertainty about the DRAM configuration. Nevertheless, chances are it will use two connections. I doubt that the P4 bus can even support a single DRAM connection.

How could have interpreted my comment as misleading? You are looking very hard to find something that isn't there.
