<<I guess Haliburton won't be a beneficiary of Bush's exploration bonanza>>

Guess that shows how little you really know about the petroleum industry. HAL don't drill- not a lick. They run thumpers, they build rigs but don't drill, & it matters not a lick to them if they thump(or build rigs) in Saudi, Russia, China, or the US.

Now why don't you tell us about how much Gore will make from OXY??

Stephen, do you really believe Gore's phony figures. Bush was kind and called them fuzzy. The fact is that Gore is lying and cannot actually separate fact from fiction. He will do ANYTHING to achieve his goal. And, most of it won't be good for America.

I guess Haliburton won't be a beneficiary of Bush's exploration bonanza...once an oilman always an oilman.

What is your beef with oil companies?

Are you telling us that you PREFER to see the US trade deficit held hostage to imported oil?

Are you telling us that you PREFER having our national security subjugated to a monopolistic oil cartel?

Are you telling us that Occidental Petroleum hasn't already UNIQUELY BENEFITTED from Al Gore and Tony Coehlo's political ties (selling the Elk Hills Naval Reserve in a sealed bidding process for $3.2 Billion, which btw, is the LARGEST privatization of Federal property in our history??)

Facts, figures.. statistics... There are lies, damn lies and then statistics...

I hate people who constantly rely upon statistics since it usually means they are trying to obfuscate the fundamental issues.

What is NEEDED is a system promotes individual choice, and not dictates from on high...

Especially with regard to transitioning Social Security from a Federal entitlement into a privately managed retirement program.

Ron
