GVTucker (or anyone):

What restrictions, if any, is Intel (or any company) under regarding their stock buyback program this close to the earnings announcement?

Thanks, Adam

GV, Blaming Europe and small business market.

What's more to blame is the fact that they're still 80% PC, while they desperately want to move up the food chain. CPQ has PCs down to less than 50%. Bigger systems = bigger margins, plus lots of services revenue. Think Sun Microsystems. Of course, CPQ bought Tandem and DEC a couple of years plus ago. Those deals are looking awfully good today.

I can't feel sorry for Dell, remembering Mickey D's comment that Compaq wasn't even in the rear view mirror, or something like that, just a few months ago. What Mickey's doing now is eating others' exhaust.
