INTC and DELL report on a different cycle (DELL reports almost one month later than INTC, and their quarters end accordingly). I think that credit should be given to DELL for warning as early as they did. You can be sure that the news had to come out today with the analysts meeting. If they'd have waited any longer, then they would have an investor revolt.

John - Yes, at the time the only reason I bought more calls was that surely, surely if there was any question about the Q, they would have jumped at the chance to guide down a little and blame it on Intel. Instead they went the other way and suggested Intel's loss was DELL's gain through falling component prices. They took a chance that somehow they would pull it out, and it was a chance with OUR money. I paid for that yesterday and today, buying out those positions.

I just don't know what these guys are doing any more. Ouch!

Good luck to all the longs on this board, fasten your seat belts and keep your arms and legs INSIDE the ride at all times...
