Who knows??? The company is short the put... they are being 'put' the stock... are you suggesting that they could pay for the stock with stock? ROFLMAO!!! AND NOT AT YOU! WHAT IF IT's TRUE.... it would be like expiration day lotto!!!!! "Oh by the way, you know that 50 million shares you're putting us @ $100??? Well here's 100 million shares w/ current price $50 in payment! GO GET RID OF IT! Ho ho.....

boy the legal document on this one would be sweet too, and let me tell you something, it wouldn't be the investment banks that got the raw end of THAT deal.... the number of shares to be delivered using that option [if that's what it means.. I still can't imagine it] would cost microsoft some coin I'm sure... it would probably be linked to prices after expiration... ie. where the banks could get out.
