What if the market is mistaken, and has priced in some kind of awful PC slowdown when it is only a shift of Dell out of leadership? Remember what happened at first when 3Com fell, so did Cisco...but that changed.

Besides, Europe is on vacation in August and September, folks.

it looks to me that because Dell has screwed it, the market assumes that ALSO Compaq will. the %decline is about the same for the 2. But what Dell preannounced could be a Dell specific issue ?
