NW, I'm closing my eyes and visualizing the 18th hole at Pebble right now - feel much better...

Rossignol, my mind's eye picture of the 18th at Pebble when you mentioned it just now was of a big hook heading for the ocean! Maybe today's double bogie will turn into an eagle someday.

Dan Niles on CNBC just said:

- Macro issues: cut back in spending, low euro, oil

- next qtr: euro stabilizes and Win200 product cycle

- Win2K should start to pick up with applications & support software just now being released

- expects encouraging signs soon

- see MU possibly 2x in 3 months

Didn't catch any comments about CPQ

CPQ @ 25.75 having just picked itself off its low of 25.25 .. about to pass DELL again, this time on the positive side.

Rossignol,
It's getting to that time of the year that I'm starting to think of Gold King at Breckingridge. Looks like the blood is starting to run in the street. Sorta thought this would happen last night. CPQ might see the low 20s or high teens like last year before it recovers. I have some loose change I dug out of the couch to buy calls if that happens.<g>
