The other explanation for not seeing a car in two days is that nobody wants to go there. That's hardly a surprise with stories on the Net about drive-by shootings with pellet guns.

That's really true of New Mexico.
I told my wife (a native New Mexican) that New Mexicans sure were nosy. She said " no, they're just friendly, they don't see anyone for days at a time."
