<<Ish: Bush knows full well that any piece of legislation having anything remotely to do with more equity for the American worker ain't gonna get past Delay and the "right to work" Repubs from the South. >>

Jeeze if it has support from both sides it won't pass? Do you still say Bush was lying in proposing it?

By the way, I mowed 20 acres of sunflowers and had a good dove shoot yesterday. Tom Delay, Dennis Hastert and Trent Lott were at the shoot. While we were eating a lunch of BBQ doves and mustard potato salad all three said they'd go along with Bush's federal legislation on the over time. We gave the extra birds to the local food mission.

I believe Bush would have no problem getting a flextime rule through. It is my experience that both worker and management like it. It is of value to both but denied by government. And, I have always believed it was a rule imposed at the urging of organized labor. That could be wrong but I either heard or surmised they wanted it to "protect" the worker.

All Bush is doing in Detroit is blowing smoke. Check out all the big bucks big business is plowing into GOP congressional campaigns. It stinks.>>

The Democrats killed it in the past backed by Big Labor.
