flapjack, I totally disagree with you on this one. I don't think Congress or Bush have any problem with flextime. I believe that is a rule or law invoked because of union desire for it. The democrats, in my opinion, at some point put that into labor law. It is my sincere belief, with a Republican President and Congress and the issue coming to the forefront, it would pass with little opposition. Republicans want a simpler and fairer way of working and doing business. You have no worry about Bush keeping his word on that one.

<<If Bush indeed is throwing this out to union workers knowing full well it has no support amongst the chamber-of-commerce House Repubs, then, yes, Bush is lying in that he is portraying this as something that he can accomplish. Also, do I think that Bush embraces this proposal? No. His handlers told him what to say. Hence, he is a liar.>>

While we were eating a lunch of BBQ doves and mustard potato salad all three said they'd go along with Bush's federal legislation on the over time. All go along with it.
Looks like it will pass.

<<It takes about 15 doves to satisfy a hungry man's appetite, does it not? >>

Not BBQed, 2 doves will do fine. Especially with the potato salad, cole slaw and Cheesecake. Dennis is on diet, trying to get back in coaching shape.

I'm glad not all union members are as gullible as you seem to think they are. I think I read a recent poll where the vote is split around 60-40. The number of minorities in unions probably make up the bulk of the difference. The Republicans aren't going to get much of the black vote no matter what they say, so it really works out to be a wash.knc
