Lewinsky-Dan - re: "Those 4 1.2GHZ Itanics should almost keep up with a single die 2GHZ dual core Sledgehammer"

Keep up?

In order to "keep up", somebody has to use the SLudgeHumper in a system.

Who is going to do that in 2001?

Re: "In addition to its better performance, the one die / dual core Sledgehammer will cost about 1 fifth as much to produce as the 4 brick Itanic "solution.""

Good - maybe AMD can sell it for $69.95 - and all the pimply gamers that drool on JC's Web Site can buy them for overclocking their Quake games.

Dan, <Those 4 1.2GHZ Itanics should almost keep up with a single die 2GHZ dual core Sledgehammer>

Sure, just like two 500 MHz PowerPC G4 processors can outperform a theoretical 2.0 GHz Pentium III, right?

You must have graduated from the Steve Jobs school of marketing ...
