Caught a piece on cbc am radio earlier when my isp was down, there is apparently significant opposition to the dishonouring of Sir William Edmond in the honouring of Trudeau, they had on a geologist who said the decision would not be supported in the geographic community ... my notes from this [didn't catch it all], paraphrases from the geo -

'Trudeau would not have wanted honour at the expense of Sir William'
'this is the best thing that's happened to Sir WEL in a long time'
'SWEL was the first native-born canadian knighted by Queen Victoria, 1856'

... there was other stuff but i had things going on, missed it ... time to raise our voices on this, gentlemen ... excellent article, Couchtater, we should paste that in if they commonly delete articles [don't know?] ... comment on it later .... cheers, all

ps - aj, it's your time of month again isn't it? ... that makes three times this week! -g-

If that bothered you, figure this one out......
Your government wets their pants every time the UN looks at them. For some unknown reason to speak against the UN is taboo. Check out the link and see if you think the UN is sacred or if the liberals are nuts.
