My Friends And I Discussed This Over The Weekend. We felt a more befitting monument to PET'S legacy would be the renaming of the Canada Trail to the Trudeau Trail. It would address the Nationalist aspect of his legacy without diminishing the contributions of such outstanding Canadian pioneers as Sir William Edmond. We felt that this snap decision was just that.They clearly did not consider , yet alone address , the possible backlash such a short sighted and narrow of thought pronouncement such as this would generate. This is an insult to the West and its heritage. Did Tequila Sheila come up with this? Sounds like something a narrow minded blue blooded Upper Canadian Heritage Minister would think up. SHEESH!!
