Hate to be argumentative but, uh, I doubt they were voting before they went to jail. Somehow, I don't think I can see the Boyz'n'the 'Hood down at the voting booth. I'm just not pulling up that image.

So if they weren't doing it before, is taking it away a punishment?


You made the argument that it was too harsh to take away
their right to vote after they finished their punishement.
Now you'er saying they probably won't EVER vote, therefore
taking away the priviledge is not punishing.. Hmmmm..

Besides, I disagree with your slanted opinion.

Oh believe me, if liberals succeed in passing blanket voting pardons for convicted felons who have completed their sentence, they will have vans driving by to pick them up and TAKING THEM to the voting booth...

Otherwise, they will set them up again on some trumped up charge and back to the big house they go...

That's the power of political influence and how the democrats play the game.

Better than we maintain the system as it is, aimed at encouraging felons to get their act together and reapply for their voting rights.
