Whatever your feelings about terrorists, international relations is an intricate game of chess and you have to weigh up the advantages of assassinating a foreign leader against the disadvantages. You say you're already under seige, but the gravity of the "seige" depends on what is said and done. For instance, the American support of the state of Israel is causing upset in the Islamic world. I am not saying that America should change its foreign policy or stance out of fear of terrorist threat, but you don't have to go provoking people by killing Hussein - which would actually do you very lttle good. Without Hussein to protect the rest of the arab world from, the US would lose a lot of support and money from the likes of the Saudi's. Here is a recent comment from an influential Saudi: "In Riyadh, the imam of one of the Saudi capital's largest mosques called for jihad against Israel and its supporters. "Washington supports Israel blindly. American embassies, companies and individuals are legitimate targets and must be targeted by Muslims all over the world," said the imam, Sheik Mansour bin Ali al-Hussein." cnn.com
