Which is why it doesn't work. Some of my LU shares have a cost basis less than 2 cents per share. Using the noted formula my new basis would be a large negative number. I don't think so (but then, the tax laws never cease to amaze me :-)

My rough guestimate is to treat it like a 1:12 split.

Engineer, I believe that AV is to send out some literature that explains how to make the calculation. If it's not AV who sends the information, then it will be Lu.

By the way, Lu seems to have gained some strength over the past few days. I wonder if we have found the bottom and may bounce off it, assuming that the markets cooperate.

Sure would like to see this company get back on the growth track.
